Inquisix Privacy Policy:

The mission of Inquisix is to allow our members to share information about other members and non-members in a secure exchange. Inquisix is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that you understand how information about you may be collected and used. Our web platform offers a secure exchange of referrals, recommendations and Reputations (as defined below) among our members. This Privacy Policy sets forth the policies and procedures that Inquisix undertakes to protect your information.

This Privacy Policy will explain in more detail the following topics:

  • Information collection
  • Usage of information by Inquisix
  • Usage of information by third parties
  • Information storage and security
  • How to access and change personally identifiable information
  • How to contact Inquisix
  • Privacy policy changes

Information Collection

Inquisix collects information about you in order to provide services to its members, improve the functionality offered to members and understand how non-members become interested in becoming members. Inquisix collects this information directly from members through the registration process, and by automated scripts via cookies or standard web logs.

Your account information: Inquisix requires you to provide your name, your company and your company email address in order for us to provide you with our services. Inquisix also requires you to select a private password in order to access the secure portions of the Inquisix Website (the “Website”). Inquisix does not require, nor solicit, personal information about you such as home address or telephone number.

Inquisix requires a credit card and billing information to activate your membership. All financial and billing information that we collect is used solely to bill for our services. Inquisix does not use this billing information for marketing or promotional purposes. Except as we explicitly state at the time we request information, or as provided for in the Inquisix Terms of Use, we do not disclose the information provided to third parties.

Inquisix removes this information from our servers when you end your membership with Inquisix.

Your account profile: Your account profile is composed of two parts 1) information you optionally provide about yourself, your company, and your solution, and 2) information provided by Inquisix and other members about you.

In addition to the account information that Inquisix requires you to provide, you may optionally provide more information about yourself, your company and your solution as part of your account profile. This optional information typically enhances your opportunity to network with other Inquisix members and should not include any personal information. You may also provide an additional email address, such as your personal email address, to allow Inquisix to communicate with you when your account information changes.

Your profile also contains your Inquisix reputation (“Reputation”). Other Inquisix members view your Reputation to help decide if they wish to network with you. Your Reputation is developed based on information provided by other Inquisix members or otherwise obtained by Inquisix. Inquisix members rate each other as they network and exchange information with other Inquisix members.

Inquisix removes this information from our servers upon termination of your membership. However, if you have requested us to save your Reputation indefinitely and provided us with an alternative email, then we will save your Reputation in case you decide to re-join Inquisix at a later date.

Your contacts: You may upload your business contacts to the Website for the sole purpose of referring other Inquisix members to them. This contact information will not be shared with anyone else, including other Inquisix members, without your permission. Contact information that Inquisix collects includes contact name, title, company, work email address and work telephone number. Only first name, title and company of your contacts are displayed as the result of a search by other members. Your member information is not displayed or otherwise associated with the results of a member search. Personally identifiable information about your contacts, such as home address and cell phone number, should not be uploaded to Inquisix. Inquisix takes reasonable efforts to ensure that non-business information is not collected or stored in our servers and we may, in our sole discretion, remove such information at any time.

How information is collected: In addition to you uploading information to the Website, Inquisix uses cookies and standard web log files to automatically collect information about you in order to operate and improve the Website.

A “cookie” is a small file on your computer that Inquisix uses to recognize you when you return to our Website. You will not be able to interact with the Inquisix site if your browser does not accept cookies from Inquisix. We also use standard web logs to collect information, including your IP address, operating system, web browser, ISP and referring/exit web pages.

Inquisix will not share with third parties any personally identifiable information collected from such cookies or web logs but may share with its business partners anonymous information collected from cookies or web logs, as well as demographic information that is not personally identifiable.

Usage of Information by Inquisix

Inquisix uses the information collected on the Website to perform, improve and offer additional services to members. Information that is not personally identifiable may be collected on members and non-members and is used to understand how non-members choose to become members.

Inquisix may disclose your personal information when required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: comply with legal process; enforce the Terms of Use; respond to claims that such information violates the rights of third-parties; respond to claims that personal information (e.g. phone number, street address) of a third-party has been transmitted without their consent or as a form of harassment; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Inquisix, other users or the general public. We will notify you of such disclosure when reasonable and permitted by law.

The Website also contains links to the Inquisix Forum (http://inquisix.com/forums) and the Inquisix Blog (http://inquisix.com/blog). Only members of Inquisix may access and comment on the Inquisix Forum. Inquisix membership is not required to access and comment on the Inquisix Blog although registration is required. Blog registration includes providing your name, login, password and email address.

Inquisix requests that you do not submit any personally identifiable information to either the Inquisix Forum or Inquisix Blog. We are not responsible for the security of any personally identifiable information you choose to submit to the Inquisix Forum or Inquisix Blog.

Usage of Information by Third Parties

Inquisix does not sell, rent or share your personally identifiable information with third parties for purposes other than providing Inquisix member services, except where required to by law. One of the member services provided by a third party is billing your credit card number for member subscription fees. These third party credit card processing companies do not share or store any of your personally identifiable information except to provide these services and are bound by strict confidentiality agreements which limit their use of such information. No personally identifiable information on non-members of Inquisix is shared with third parties.

Information Storage and Security

Inquisix takes the security of your information very seriously. We use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain industry standards and best practices to store your information in a secure environment. We store your data in a tier-one secured access data center and regularly perform audits of our system for possible vulnerabilities. We use Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) for all communication between your browser and our Website. Access to your information on our servers from browsers is protected by an encrypted password.

Your account profile is password-protected so that only you have access to your account information. In order to maintain this protection, do not give your password to anyone. If anyone ever asks you for information claiming they are Inquisix staff, contact Inquisix at

Access and Change Personally Identifiable Information

You may access and change your information collected by Inquisix at any time. This information includes your basic account information, the portion of your account profile that you optionally provided, and your contacts. You may not change your Reputation or the ratings and comments made about you by other members although you may contact Inquisix to request modifications if there are derogatory or defamatory comments.

Upon termination of your membership, Inquisix will delete your account information and profile. However, Inquisix will keep your Reputation if you have requested us to do so. You must provide an alternative email address before termination of your Inquisix membership in order for Inquisix to save your Reputation.

You may delete your contacts at any time. Upon termination of your membership, Inquisix will delete all contacts that are uniquely yours. As more than one member may have similar contacts to you, Inquisix will only remove your connection to those contacts that are associated with multiple Inquisix members.

Change of Ownership

In the event of a change in ownership, or a direct merger or acquisition with another entity, we reserve the right to transfer all of Inquisix’s user account information, including email and postal addresses, to a separate entity. All members will be notified of any change in ownership, merger or acquisition of Inquisix’s assets by a third party, and may choose to modify any of their account information at that time.

International Users

International users, by registering with Inquisix, agree that we may collect, use, and transfer user information to servers outside your resident jurisdiction as described in this Privacy Policy. For members residing in the European Union or other jurisdictions that provide access rights under the law, members may access their information or have it corrected or updated in accordance with applicable law, by contacting Inquisix.
